Cost of Attendance
Estimated annual costs are based on 2024-2025 rates.
The Cost of Attendance (COA) is the ESTIMATED cost of completing a Fall/Spring school year at Montana State University Billings (MSUB) and includes weighted averages for direct educational costs (tuition, fees, room, board, books and supplies), and other indirect educational expenses (miscellaneous personal expenses and transportation).
COA vs. MSUB BILL
The COA does not reflect the actual bill that you will pay to MSUB. Your actual bill will be determined by the MSUB Business Services Office and any room and board costs for students living on campus will be determined by the Housing & Residence Life Office. Students should calculate their individual costs of attending using the 2024-2025 Estimated Budget Worksheet.
Tuition and fees are subject to approval by the Montana Board of Regents of Higher Education. Some courses and programs have additional fee expenses:
