Students who wish to be considered for federal financial aid programs, must start by filling out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

To be considered for aid, you must:

  • Be enrolled at MSUB in a degree-seeking program and complete all MSUB admissions requirements. Non-degree seeking students are not eligible for financial aid.
  • Make satisfactory academic progressaccording to MSUB Financial Aid office.
  • Meet FAFSA eligibility guidelines.

In addition to meeting these federal requirements, recipients of state-funded aid programs must be Montana residents.
