University Connections Checklist
STEP 01
Apply & Register
Documents can be found on the Dual Enrollment website. Email documents to dualenrollment@msubillings.edu
- Application
- Release of Information
- Underage Waiver (students 15 or younger)
- Immunization Records or Waiver
- High School Transcripts and/or ACT Scores (if requested)
- Class Request
STEP 02
Log Into D2L
Create your New User Profile in the Self-Service Password Portal. Students will need their GID and Net ID to set their password. IDs are emailed to students after registration. Use your Net ID and password to log into Canvas, MSUB’s online learning platform.
STEP 03
Order Textbooks
Find your course materials on the Campus Store website. Use your Net ID to shop by your schedule. Students are not obligated to purchase textbooks from MSU Billings, though they must purchase required course materials.
STEP 04
Attend Class
Log into your myinfo portal using your Net ID and password to view your class schedule. The academic calendar is emailed to students after registration. For online classes, log into D2L on the first day of class. Students taking online classes will need to log into the class several times a week.
STEP 05
Pay Your Bill
Students will receive a bill after they have used the 1, 2 Free Scholarship. Students can pay their bill in their myinfo portal, by calling the Business Office, or in-person. Hardship Scholarship is available.
*Some high schools pay after 1, 2 Free.

Dual Enrollment FAQs
Yes, students under the age of 16 can take classes as long as they meet the Underage Policy requirements.
Yes, MSUB maintains institutional accreditation and our credits will transfer to other accredited schools. However, it is up to the receiving institution as to whether they will accept MSUB credits and how/if they will apply them to the student’s program of study.
Dual Enrollment students can take a variety of in-person and online classes. Students must meet any prerequisites. Classes that are commonly taken by dual enrollment students include:
