Montana State University Billings is a participant in the Western Regional Graduate Program (WRGP) of the Western Interstate Commission for Higher Education (WICHE).  Under the program, residents of Western Member States and territories are eligible for admission to designated graduate programs at reduced rates. In the classroom and in the community, MSU Billings students receive a well-rounded, unique education with Master’s degrees offered through the College of Education, College of Health Professions and Science and College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences.

How to Apply

  • Students from qualifying states need to fill out an application for consideration. 
  • Applications should be emailed to (mailed applications will also be accepted)
  • The application can also be found on the Graduate Studies Forms page
  • The Priority Application Deadline for WRGP consideration is March 12 (Fall semesters) and November 1st. (Spring Semesters)
  • Students receiving WICHE must maintain a 3.0 or better cumulative GPA each semester or may lose WICHE funding for the following year
