Habitat ReStores are independently owned reuse stores operated by local Habitat for Humanity organizations. Restores accept donations and sell a constantly changing inventory of diverse, high-quality merchandise to the public at a fraction of the retail price, while diverting reusable household items and building materials from area landfills. Sales of donates items help Habitat for Humanity partner with local families to build, rehabilitate, and repair safe and affordable homes in your community and around the world- a good deal for you, your community and the environment.

In collaboration with community partners, HomeFront develops, manages and facilitates affordable housing throughout Billings. But our dedication to self-reliance and quality of life extend well beyond the four walls of home. Several community gardens enhance our environment and food supply, and we offer free instruction on a myriad of topics — paths to home ownership, how to be a good renter, literacy, budgeting and beyond.

LIFTT is a not-for-profit agency governed by a consumer-controlled Board of Directors whose lives have been personally impacted by a disability. Opportunities to help men address the deep seated issues that have caused destructive problems in the past are all made possible by the generous donors who support this ministry. In addition to the core services of shelter, food, and clothing, we provide programs for men 18 years and older to address issues that have led to their homelessness. Our life skill classes address areas vital to successful living. For example, grooming, attitude, character development and money management. We recognize the vital role an adequate education plays in reentry into the community as a productive citizen. We provide each guest with the necessary training to address areas where improvement is needed.

They offer rental assistance to prevent eviction. They work directly with the landlord to ensue they remain in their home. They also help with utilities for those with shut off notices.

Every family receives intensive case management support, mentoring, and guidance while they look for jobs and housing. The Family Promise program is about compassion and accountability, and families are expected to work hard to accomplish their goals and regain housing. Our purpose is not to shelter and feed as many people as possible, but rather to have a lasting positive impact on families that go through our program.

Independence Hall is a 20-bed men’s transitional housing facility for honorably discharged veterans. The facility operates 24 hours a day and includes a full kitchen, a laundry room, dining and living space which includes a TV area, computer & resource room, a conference room and an outside area equipped with BBQ and picnic table.

The purpose of First Time Homebuyer Education is to teach potential homeowners about the process of purchasing a home. The successful completion of a First Time Homebuyer Course is often a requirement for many down payment assistance and loan programs. This is a great program for both new and experienced home buyers and provides a good opportunity to become a more educated home buyer and homeowner.

Magic City Terrace is a three-story, HUD 202 PRAC subsidized complex for those individuals or family members age 62 who meet income requirements. The community includes 84 unfurnished, one-bedroom apartments with full sized stoves and refrigerators. Each apartment home has heat and air conditioning controlled by the individual resident. We have elevators, trash chutes and laundry rooms on each floor equipped with washers and dryers at no charge for the convenience of our residents.
