Assessment Testing - Accuplacer
We utilize mutliple measures when determining placement for our incoming and transfer students. These measures include high school gpa, courses taken at high school and overall gpa, ACT or SAT and Accuplacer exams. Individuals that have been out of high school or completed their HiSet over three years ago will be encouraged to take the Accuplacer placement test to assist with placement into English, reading, math and some program courses. Transfer students who have not completed their General Education requirements in English or mathematics and if previous placements tests are over 3 years of age will be encouraged to take the Accuplacer Tests. For further information, contact Jacket Student Central at (406) 247-3019. The Accuplacer test is $7.50 per test (up to $15 if you take both the math and reading/writing).
The advisor will review the various placement measures available to them and review with the student how these place them into English, math, reading and program courses.
