EdReady at Montana State University Billings

EdReady is a FREE online math readiness tool that is available to students at Montana State University Billings. EdReady features include online math placement and math review. Please read through the following sections to determine which option is right for you!

Every incoming student at MSU Billings needs Math Placement, and one way to generate a Math Placement is to take the EdReady Initial Math Placement. 

• MSU Billings uses multiple measures to determine math placement.  Measures include ACT/SAT scores (within the last 3 years), high school gpa from an accredited high school within the last 3 years and any college-level credit that fulfills a math course and/or math placement at MSU Billings. 
• If you are a student without a math placement, you must take the online EdReady Initial Math Placement prior to meeting with your advisor. (A computer or tablet is recommended to complete the EdReady placement)
  •  Login to EdReady
  • Once on the EdReady homepage - click on "MSU Student Sign-in" button and then use your MSU Billings NetID and password to login
• After you complete your Initial Math Placement you will be informed about your math placement level and given the option to improve your placement in your EdReady Study Path!

For new and incoming MSU Billings Students WITH a Math Placement

• Students with a math placement are not required to take the EdReady Initial Math Placement, but it may be recommended, depending on the math and science requirements of your major.
• After visiting with your advisor, if your math placement is lower than the required math for your major, you should take the EdReady Initial Math Placement. (A computer or tablet is recommended to complete the EdReady placement)

Visit the EdReady Initial Math Placement single sign on page. Click on the button that says "MSU Student Sign-in" and then se your MSU Billings NetID and pasword to sign in. 

EdReady Practice Levels are available to continuing MSU Billings students that have a math placement and wish to do one of the following:

• Revisit possible gaps in their math skills
• Become better prepared for college math courses
• Have not taken a math course recently 
• Incoming MSU Billings students with questions about their math placement and the math required for their major should contact their academic advisor.

Continuing students (someone already taking courses at MSU BIllings), in order to register you for EdReady Practice Levels, we need to collect a little information about you:

 

EdReady requests may take up to 5 business days for the team to process. Once your request has been processed, you can login using your MSU Billings NetID and password.

Once you have your account setup, Click on the button below, once on the EdReady homepage - click on "MSU Student Sign-in" button and then use your MSU Billings NetID and password to login . Last Day to take the EdReady Initial Math Assessment for Placement Determination and to improve an EdReady score and move up Placement Level(s) :  Before 11:59pm on the First Day of Class for the Semester
