Charles Smith promoted to Sergeant

Please join me in congratulating Officer Charles Smith on his promotion to Sergeant for the University Police Department. Officer Smith has been serving as interim Sergeant since June 2018 and was promoted effective Monday, Jan. 14. Charles has done an excellent job filling the role as interim Sergeant and I am looking forward to having him as a formal member of the department leadership team.  Congratulations Charles!

Chris Eagan hired as Facilities Director

Montana State University Billings has named Chris Eagan as the new Facilities Director. He began his role on Jan. 17.

Eagan brings vast facilities operations experience in both the public and post-secondary sectors with over  35 years in the field. His background and knowledge will serve him well as he is a proven leader of multifaceted facilities operations, space administration, planning and development, efficiency of operations, overseeing large capital development projects, and has led the charge to make the workplace better by shifting its’ culture to serve customers more effectively, restructuring facilities management and resources.

Prior to assuming this role at MSUB, Eagan worked at the University of Saskatchewan as the Director of Facilities Operations and Maintenance. In addition, he worked as the General Manager of Corporate Asset Management for the City of Medicine Hat in Medicine Hat, Alberta and as the Executive Director of Facilities Management for the University of Lethbridge in Lethbridge, Alberta.
