Music Department at MSUB announces spring concerts
Public invited to enjoy two performances by MSUB students and faculty

MSU BILLINGS NEWS—The Montana State University Billings Music Department is pleased to announce two spring concerts to take place in mid-April.
The MSU Billings Small Ensembles Concert will be at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 16 in Cisel Recital Hall.
The Percussion Ensemble will be performing pieces by Jamieson Carr, Alan Keow, and Wolfgang Roggenkamp. The eight-piece MSU Billings Blues Band will be playing classic, pre-1950s blues music by the like of Muddy Waters, Big Mama Thornton, Howlin’ Wolf, and more. This class was created to explore the intricacies and styles of this important American music genre.
On Tuesday, April 23, the MSUB Department of Music will present From MET to Broadway, a concert of Opera and Broadway music featuring the Chamber Singers and the University Chorus at 7:30 p.m. in Cisel Recital Hall.
Under the direction of Associate Professor Doug Nagel, the concert will feature selections from Die Fledermaus, A Little Night Music, Follies, Don Giovanni, Kinky Boots, Merry Widow, and many more. Students will be featured as soloists. MSUB adjunct piano instructor, Tim Schoessler, is the collaborative pianist for the concert.
Tickets for these events are $5 for adults and $3 for students and seniors. MSUB students, faculty, and staff may enter free with a valid ID. Parking will be free for guests in all lots.
