MSU BILLINGS NEWS—Montana State University Billings will host its second annual Atomic Circus on Friday, April 12 from 6 to 7 p.m. in Petro Theatre on the MSUB campus. This is a fun, multimedia chemistry show designed for youth in kindergarten through twelfth grade.

This free, family friendly event will feature amazing chemistry experiments with Dr. Matt Queen, interpretive dancers from Movement Montana, and the original Atomic Circus band featuring MSUB alums, Arterial Drive.

Students of all ages from across the community have expressed their enjoyment of this event. One student from Billings School District 2 said, “I LOVED the Atomic Circus. It was so much fun, the most fun I’ve had on a field trip so thank you very much for having us.”

Last year this show was standing room only. New this year, will be live streaming of the show in the Glacier Room to allow all interested youth and family members to attend the show.

“Dr. Matt Queen was awesome,” said another. “I didn’t like any of it, I LOVED all of it!”

Leading up to the Atomic Circus show, will be the fifth grade field trips in which fifth graders from Billings School District Two will visit campus and get a sneak peak of the Atomic Circus first-hand. The field trips and its related events along with the Atomic Circus are presented by numerous departments at MSUB including Chemistry, Art, Music, Extended Campus, Economics, Fire Science, Geology, Math, Health and Human Performance, Nutrition, and Education.
