MSU BILLINGS NEWS SERVICES — MSU Billings is proud to be the site-host to the annual MPSEOC Billings College Fair coming on Tuesday, September 18 in the Alterowitz Gym from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
Montana Post-Secondary Education Opportunity Council (MPSEOC) is a statewide organization representing the 25 institutions of higher education across the state of Montana. The mission of the organization is the promotion of higher education to students, parents and guidance counselors, with the awareness of the post-secondary opportunities available throughout the state of Montana and beyond. Over the course of three weeks, students from across Montana can attend the college fair circuit and learn about educational options after high school.
Billings is one of the largest fairs on the circuit with an estimated 1500 plus students in attendance from area high schools. Students will have the opportunity to visit with approximately 80 college representatives from all over the Northwest region. The fair also provides students the opportunity to learn about scholarships and financial aid through various employers and organizations.
Visitors will be directed to park in the parking garage and Cisel Parking lot. While this will increase foot traffic and create some congestion for parking, University Police and New Student Services staff will be directing traffic on 27th street and inside the parking area to keep traffic flowing smoothly.
“We are excited to welcome counselors, parents, and students to this event. This is a great chance for high school juniors and seniors to explore a number of post-graduation opportunities in one spot,” said Trevor Belnap, Associate Director of New Student Services.
If you have any questions concerning the event, please contact the Billings fair site-coordinator, Trevor Belnap at trevor.belnap@msubillings.edu.
