MSU BILLINGS NEWS SERVICES — Elizabeth Fullon, Department Chair of General Education and Transfer & Learner Support, has been named Interim Dean of City College following the departure of Dr. Clifford Coppersmith.
Fullon has been a full-time City College faculty member for 11 years and has been serving as a department chair at City College for the past year. Prior to this appointment, she was the Assessment Coordinator at City College, where she assisted in developing a college-wide assessment process and aided departments in using outcome-based assessments to improve educational quality.
Fullon has an Associate’s degree in Education and Training Management Systems from the Community College of the Air Force and a bachelor’s degree in Journalism from the University of the Philippines. She has a master’s degree in literature from Harvard University and continued with doctoral studies in communication at the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
“With the wide array of strong programs at City College to oversee, I am pleased that Elizabeth Fullon has agreed to join the Deans’ Council,” shared Dr. Robert Hoar, Provost and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs. “She is an established leader and will be a strong advocate for the students, faculty, and staff at City College.”
Dean Fullon will serve in the Interim capacity, effective May 7, until a permanent City College Dean is hired. A job opening for the Dean of City College will be posted next week. MSUB has partnered with Myers McRae, a search firm that helps colleges and universities select leaders.
