MSU BILLINGS NEWS SERVICES — Advising & Career Services at Montana State University Billings is proud to announce the Orientation Peer Leader (OPL) team for the 2017-2018 academic year.
These campus leaders play a key role in welcoming new students to campus and helping guide their first year transition into college.
OPLs begin connecting with students even before they arrive on campus through individual outreach and the ‘Virtual Hive’ online.
The peer leaders facilitate the two-day, New Student Orientations each summer that are designed for new students and their families as an introduction to both academics and student life at MSU Billings.
OPLs continue their role as peer mentors throughout the first year by meeting one-on-one with students, assisting with First Year Seminar classes, attending campus events, and via outreach hours. They are an integral part of the first year experience program and the University is excited to see them start training in May. Please congratulate and welcome these students on their new roles representing the Yellowjacket family.
