MSUB Music Department Announces Spring Jazz Concert
Performance takes place at 7p.m., April 21 in Cisel Recital Hall. Cost is $5 for adults, $3 for student and is free with valid MSUB ID.

MSU BILLINGS NEWS SERVICES — The Montana State University Billings Jazz Ensembles will be performing their Spring
concert at 7 p.m., April, 21st in Cisel Recital Hall on the University Campus.
Special guest musician, Sam White, will be joining the ensemble as a soloist on tenor sax.
The music performed will include pieces by Charles Mingus, Miles Davis, Cannonball Adderly, Count Basie and The Beatles.
White, White is likely Montana’s most working and versatile Tenor Sax specialist, comfortable playing Jazz, Funk, Soul, Latin, African and other commercial styles.
After several years in New York City, he makes his home in Helena and performs consistently around the state and throughout the Northwest providing clinics, masterclasses and performances with many ensembles.
White has performed with Phil Woods, Cyril Neville, Huey Lewis, Benny Golson, and currently plays in a quartet with Jazz luminary, Bob Bowman, renowned bassist of Thad Jones’ and Freddie Hubbard’s ensembles.
Cost for the concert is $5 for adults, $3 for students, or is free with valid MSU Billings ID.
