MSU BILLINGS NEWS SERVICES — The Montana State University Billings Department of Music will host the United States Air Force Academy Band’s “Stellar Brass” in Cisel Recital Hall on Tuesday, March 22, at 7:30 p.m. The concert is free and open to the public.

In addition to the evening performance, the Stellar Brass will visit several MSUB classes to perform and lead discussions throughout the day, highlighted by a clinic for any and all interested high school and junior high school music students at 4 p.m. in Cisel Hall.

Stellar Brass, a six-member brass and percussion group, superbly supports the Air Force Academy Band’s missions of community relations, educational outreach and Air Force recruiting. The members of Stellar Brass have studied at some of the most prestigious universities and music conservatories in the country. Group members utilize their experience to perform spectacular public concerts and to offer outreach to high school and college students through clinics and master classes. Their exceptional musical performance will not only entertain but also deliver a patriotic message that will linger in hearts and minds forever.

The United States Air Force Academy Band, under the command of Lieutenant Colonel Daniel L. Price, is composed of 53 active-duty Air Force professionals and includes nine performing ensembles. For over 60 years, the Academy Band has used the power of music to honor our nation's heroes, inspire Air Force personnel and the nation they serve, produce innovative musical programs and products, and communicate Air Force excellence to millions around the world.

All Air Force Academy Band performances are presented on behalf of Lieutenant General Michelle D. Johnson, Superintendent, United States Air Force Academy.
