Music Student Presents Junior Percussion Recital

MSU BILLINGS NEWS SERVICES — Montana State University Billings music performance student Tyler Briceno will perform is junior percussion recital April 8, at 7:30 p.m., in Cisel Recital Hall on the university campus.
Briceno is a student of Luke Kestner and Matt Devitt. His program will include pieces by Casey Cangelosi, Evelyn Glennie, Stephen Whibley and more. The recital is free and open to the public.
For more than a decade, Briceno has been a percussionist for independent musical acts, performing for entertainment as well as raising money and awareness for many charities. He is an active member of the Billings music community, acting as president of the MSU Billings Percussion Ensemble, vice president of the MSU Billings Jazz Ensemble and performing with the Billings Symphony.
After completing his bachelor’s degree, Briceno hopes to pursue a master’s program and become a professional percussionist as well as an established educator.
