MSU BILLINGS NEWS SERVICES — Montana State University Billings Potters’ Guild, a student-led organization, will host ceramic artists from the Red Lodge Clay Center on Saturday, March 29, in the Art Annex from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The event is open to the public with an admission of $5.
Each year, the Red Lodge Clay Center accepts four resident artists whom are committed individuals in transition from post-baccalaureate studies to graduate school, as well as those pursuing the development of professional artistic careers. Accepted residents are provided with studio space, housing, utilities and a monthly stipend in exchange for twenty hours of work per week at the Clay Center.
This year’s residents—Perry Haas, Koral Halperin and Molly Ann Bishop—will demonstrate ceramic techniques both on and off the potter’s wheel. Slide presentations of their work and practices will be displayed at 1:45 p.m. Plan to bring a bagged lunch.
Please visit the Red Lodge Clay Center website for more information on the residents and their work.
The Art Annex is located on the corner of Poly and N. 27th Street. To register, please contact Shanna Fliegel 657-2149.
