MSU BILLINGS NEWS SERVICES — With the temperatures beginning to rise, so begins the preparation for the 33rd annual Summerfest at Montana State University Billings.
The family-oriented festival, presented by the Associated Students of Montana State University Billings and the Student Activities Board, is scheduled for Tuesday, July 15, from 4:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. on the grounds of the university campus at 1500 University. Festivities will be held on the lawn between McMullen Hall and the Student Union Building.
An inflatable bouncer, a 40-foot obstacle with a slide, a bungee run and jousting will highlight this year’s Summerfest.
“This is a great way to celebrate summer and a wonderful way to celebrate our community,” Brooke Goodman, Student Activities Board chair, said.
For those looking for eats, free cotton candy and snow cones will be available while they last. A barbecue picnic costs $6 a plate.
The event is free and open to the community. For more Summerfest information, call the Student Activities Board at 657-2319.
