Music student presents Senior Recital featuring guest artists

MSU BILLINGS NEWS SERVICES — Montana State University Billings senior music student Kristy Dallas, a soprano, will perform her senior music recital in Cisel Hall on April 12.
Her program will feature works by Pergolesi, Offenbach, Barber, Schubert and Rodgers and Hammerstein. Pianist Gail Briceño, baritones Jason Webster and Dr. William Mouat and mezzo-soprano Desja Eagletail will join Dallas in her performance.
Dallas is a student of professor Doug Nagel and is a member of CLEFS, a university singing club, and has also been active with the Domestic Violence Abuse Awareness Society.
A graduate of West High School, Dallas earned her bachelor's degree from North Central College in Naperville, Ill., with a vocal performance emphasis. While in Chicago, she was a regular guest soloist for Robert Frazen's "One on One" television show. Dallas made her professional opera debut with Rimrock Opera in 2010 as Sylvaine in “The Merry Widow.” She has also sang principal roles in Rimrock Opera's tours of American Opera Idol and The Night Harry Stopped Smoking and has served as the organization’s education coordinator. Other roles with Venture Theatre include the part as Lula in “Violet" and as an actor in the 2010 Wet Ink Festival at Venture Theatre.
Most recently, Dallas sang the role of Frasquita in the Carmen Quintet for the 2013 NOVA Summer Festival.
Dallas is the daughter of Gilbert and Sharon Dallas.
