MSU BILLINGS NEWS SERVICES — As many youngsters eagerly await loading up on candy for Halloween, some at Montana State University Billings are concentrating on gathering food to dole it out.
On Halloween (Wednesday, Oct. 31) students, staff and faculty at MSU Billings will be gathering non-perishable food items for distribution to the High School Food Pantry through the Salvation Army. Led by the Student United Way at MSU Billings and the university’s Office of Community Involvement, the food drive will help other young people in need in the Billings area.
Those who want to be involved will walk the neighborhoods around MSU Billings from 4:30-6:30 p.m. on Halloween collecting non-perishable food items. Those who want to take part will meet in the Student Union Building atrium at 4:15 p.m.
Student groups who want to show their MSU Billings pride can dress up in their best Yellowjacket apparel for a chance to win the “Spirit Award.”
After the food collections are made, students will gather for the MSU Billings/Rocky Mountain College men’s basketball game at RMC.
