MSU BILLINGS NEWS SERVICES — Most fall days, the residence halls at Montana State University Billings are home to 600 college students. But just in time for Halloween fun, the term “residence hall life” takes on a new meaning.

Students who live in the residence halls, their resident assistants and other volunteers will turn Petro Hall and Rimrock Hall into fun, safe and warm trick-or-treating venues on Wednesday, Oct. 26. The event starts at 6 p.m. and is open to the community.

 

There will be plenty of candy for youngsters as well as a carnival in the Student Union Building Ballroom so that parents and their children can keep entertained before and after their trick-or-treating adventures. Parents and kids are asked to meet at the ballroom before dispersing to the halls for trick-or-treating.

 

This is the fifth year the MSU Billings housing crew has offered the trick-or-treating venue and the housing staff say they anticipates a lot of interest because it gives youngsters and their families a great venue to have fun and fill goody bags before the busy weekend.

 

In previous years, between 300 and 400 trick-or-treaters came through the dorms and the RAs are planning for a similar turnout this year. MSU Billings residence hall students and their RAs will decorate the halls serve as guides for each group.

 

The event is funded by the Associated Students of MSU Billings, the residence hall staff and volunteer donations.
