MSU BILLINGS NEWS SERVICES — Faculty, staff, students, business leaders, policymakers and parents can make their views known to Montana higher education leaders at special listening sessions next week in Billings.

 

""As part of an annual listening tour, Dr. Sheila Stearns, Commissioner of Higher Education for Montana, and representatives of the Montana Board of Regents will be at Montana State University Billings to gather input on the future of the system and the commissioner’s role in the Montana University System. 

The sessions are set for:

 

Wednesday, Oct. 12, 3 p.m., Lewis and Clark Room in the Student Union Building for a faculty discussion.

 

Wednesday, Oct. 12, 4:15 p.m., Lewis and Clark Room, Student Union Building, for a conversation with students, parents, community leaders and policymakers.

 

The forums are an opportunity for people to talk about higher education issues that are important to them and their community. They are encouraged to talk about how the Montana University System has done in the past, how it is doing now and how it should serve its constituents in the future.

 

Stearns and other higher education officials will be in Missoula on Oct. 11 and in Bozeman on Oct. 13.
