MSU Billings percussion student gives senior recital Dec. 4

MSU BILLINGS NEWS SERVICES — Montana State University Billings percussion student Nathan Gurtler will perform his Senior Recital on Sunday, Dec. 4 at 7:30 p.m. in Cisel Hall. The concert is free and open to the public.
Gurtler will perform works by Keiko Abe, David Friedman, Nebojsa Jovan Zivkovic, George Hamilton Green, and will be joined by several student musicians. During his student career at MSU Billings, he has been member of percussion ensemble, symphonic band, jazz band, jazz combo, pep band, jazz singers, Icantori (pop/rock opera band), and performs with worship teams through his church. During his summers he is on staff for Fuge Camps in New Mexico and Wyoming.
Gurtler will be student teaching during Spring Semester 2012 and will graduate in April with a Bachelor of Arts in Music, with a Teaching Certificate Option and a Bachelor of Arts in Music, with a Performance Option. He is a student of Luke Kestner and Matt Devitt.
