MSU BILLINGS NEWS SERVICES — Branden Martinez, a senior music performance and music education major at Montana State University Billings, will present his senior recital on Sunday, Dec. 11 at 3 p.m. in Cisel Recital Hall at MSU Billings. The event is free and open to the public.
A Worland, Wyo., native who sings baritone, Martine has been an active participant in choir throughout his school career, making it to All-State Chorus and All-Northwest Men’s Chorus his senior year. He began his college training at Casper College, where he participated in I Cantori, Men’s Chorus, Triple C Singers and Colligate Chorus.
He transferred to MSU Billings to finish his studies to earn bachelor’s degrees in Music Performance and Music Education, studying voice with Douglas Nagel. He has been active in the collegiate and local music scene while in Billings. He has performed as Sciarrone in the Rimrock Opera’s production of “Tosca.”
Martinez will sing selections by Wolf, Ravel, Copland, and more and will be accompanied by pianist Sandi Rabas. Vocalists Mary Elizabeth Ryan and Marshall Pluhar will also appear in the program.
