Event brings together student culture and cuisine from around the world

They all represent the same word — FOOD — all of which will be brought to Billings from all around the world on Thursday, March 18 for the 7th annual Montana State University Billings International Food Fair.

 

The event, which is open to the public, will be held in the Student Union Ballroom at the MSU Billings main campus, 1500 University Drive, from 4-7 p.m.  Food tickets will be available for purchase for $1 and items will be sold for between $1 and $4 each. 

 

The MSU Billings International Studies Club, in conjunction with local restaurants and other MSU Billings organizations, have united to bring cuisine from all over the world to Billings for annual event. It’s a unique cultural and culinary experience that includes sampling of foods and cultural education from around the world. Participants can experience the worlds of the university’s international brothers and sisters without ever leaving Billings.

 

students serve international fare at the MSUB International Food Fair 2009 Throughout the three hours, foods from countries like Japan, China, Korea, Mexico, France, Canada, the Middle East, and Germany will be available for from $1-$4 and the international students will be sharing pieces of their food and language in mutual cultural exchange. Music and photographs from around the world will set the mood. Various activities include writing Japanese and Korean characters, learning the art of putting on kimonos, global trivia, raffles, and more.
