MSU BILLINGS NEWS SERVICES — As many youngsters anxiously await loading up on candy for Halloween, some at Montana State University Billings are concentrating on giving food away.

More specifically, staff, faculty and students at MSU Billings are gathering non-perishable food items for distribution through the Billings Food Bank. Led by the university’s Office of Community Involvement, “Trick or Eat” is a weeklong endeavor to help those in need in the Billings area.

Students, faculty and staff can help in different ways. They can bring non-perishable food items to work any day this week and put them in various collection bins across the university or they can take part in “Trick or Eat” collection on Halloween night. Collection bins have been set up at:

  • The Liberal Arts building near the LA Express coffee shop
  • The College of Education
  • The College of Business
  • Petro Hall
  • Rimrock Hall
  • The College of Technology

On Friday from 5-7 p.m. MSU Billings students, staff and others will spread out through the university district going door-to-door to collect non-perishable food items. Those who want to take part will meet in the Student Union Building atrium at 5 p.m.
