MSU BILLINGS NEWS SERVICES — Music aficionados of all ages can enjoy an evening of great music next week when the Montana State University Billings Symphonic Band performs Tuesday, Nov. 18, at 7:30 p.m. in Cisel Recital Hall on the MSU Billings main campus, 1500 University Drive.

 

The program will include Gioachino Rossini’s “Barber of Seville Overture,” Robert Russell Bennett’s “Suite of Old American Dances,” Samuel Barber’s “Adagio,” E. E. Bagley’s “National Emblem March,” Leroy Anderson’s “A Trumpeters’s Lullaby,” Caesar Giovanni’s “Overture in B Flat,” and Frank Erickson’s “Air for Band.”

 

The MSU Billings Symphonic Band will be conducted by Dr. Mark Fenderson, the Department of Music’s new assistant professor. He will also be the trumpet soloist for the “Trumpeter’s Lullaby.”

 

Tickets, available at the door, are $5 for adults, $3 for seniors and students, and free for MSU Billings students, faculty and staff with proper ID. Good parking is available in the Cisel parking lot just off of North 27th Street.
