MSU Billings Music Education Major Sets Senior Recital April 11

MSU BILLINGS NEWS SERVICES — Quentin Staton, baritone, will perform his senior recital at Montana State University Billings in Cisel Hall on Friday, April 11, 2008 at 7:30 p.m.
The recital is free and open to the public. Plenty of good parking is available in the lot just east of Cisel Hall off of North 27th Street.
The recital will feature music by Bach, Bellini, Handel, Mozart, Monteverdi, Offenbach and Strozzi and will feature Vaughan Williams’ song cycle “Songs of Travel.” Staton will be accompanied by pianist Arle Lohof.
Staton is the Youth Choir Director at First English Lutheran Church and Group Singing Teacher at Venture Theater. He is an undergraduate student at MSU Billings, majoring in both music education and elementary education with an anticipated graduation date of May 2009.
He studies voice with Dr. Chris Sheppard, director of choral activities at MSU Billings. He is a member of the MSU Billings Concert Choir and Chamber Singers and will conduct a piece on the spring choral concert.
Originally from North Dakota, Staton and his family now call Billings home. He and his wife, Jocelin, have three children.
