MSU Billings Career Services Staffer Earns Graduate Certification

MSU BILLINGS NEWS SERVICES — Lisa Wallace, of the Montana State University Billings Office of Career Services, recently completed a graduate certificate program in Academic Advising with Kansas State University.
Wallace, who was an advisor at SheridanCollege before joining MSU Billings, holds an MPA from the University of Wyoming . The KSU program provides a strong basis for working with students in almost every aspect of their higher education experience. In addition to a focus on the academic advising and learning processes, the program covers career counseling and multi-cultural issues. Wallace utilizes this specialized training in her position as Employment Services Coordinator, where she provides career counseling and job-placement assistance to students and alumni at both the university’s main campus as well as the College of Technology on Billings ’ West End .
