MSU Billings Student Group Brings Award-Winning Illusionist to Billings for Free Show

MSU BILLINGS NEWS SERVICES — Mike Super, a national award-winning illusionist and winner of NBC’s “Phenomenon” contest last fall, will be coming to Billings for a one-night performance next week at Montana State University Billings. Super’s show will be Friday, Feb. 8 at 8 p.m. in Petro Theatre on the MSU Billings main campus, 1500 University Drive .
Sponsored by the MSU Billings Student Activities Board, the show will be free.
Because this is a student-sponsored event, university students will be given preference for seating, but plenty of good seats will be available in Petro Theatre for the public.
A practicing magician since he was 6 years old, Super has made the art of illusion his life’s passion and obsession. He is a member of both the International Brotherhood of Magicians and the Society of American Magicians. He has entertained tens of thousands his ever-growing popularity has garnered him many prestigious honors.
In recent years, Super has shattered the stereotypes of what a magician does and has taken magic in surprising directions. The secret to his success is his natural ability to entertain and fascinate people, essentially pioneering a new form of magic with his own style and personality. He transcends the “trick” and connects personally with his audience on a level to which they can relate.
Super was named by CA Magazine (an entertainment industry publication) as 2003 Entertainer of the Year and most recently was the winner of NBC’s competitive reality show “Phenomenon.” Since winning that honor last fall, Super has been touring country with his act.
