MSU BILLINGS NEWS SERVICES — Tickets are on sale now for the Montana State University Billings Theatre Department’s production of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s “Cinderella.”

The famous love story begins appropriately on Feb. 14 — Valentine’s Day — and will continue throughout the weekend. There will be six total showtimes: Feb. 14-16 and Feb. 22-24. The show begins at 7:30 p.m. for each show except for a matinee performance on Feb. 24, which is scheduled for 2 p.m.

All shows will be at Petro Theater on the MSU Billings main campus, 1500 University Drive .

The show is directed by Amber Gamsby, a graduate in theater from MSU Billings and a self-described “theater enthusiast.” Last year, Gamsby directed a successful production of Disney’s “High School Musical.”  This year’s production of “Cinderella” features a cast of 60 actors and actresses — ranging in age 10 to young adults — from Billings and the surrounding communities. The troupe has been rehearsing since auditions in early December.

Reserved seating for “Cinderella” is $12 in advance and $15 at the door. General admission seating is $8 in advance and $10 at the door while tickets last.

In addition to traditional ticket options, the “Cinderella” show features is a new “Dance with the Prince Package” available to girls ages 12-18 and a parent. The availability of this package is very limited and allows one lucky girl at each performance to learn a portion of the choreography and dance with the prince on stage in costume during the show.  The package also includes a memento from the show and a photo opportunity while in costume. The price of “Dance with the Prince Package” is $53 and comes with two seats (the participating girl must be seated with an adult).

All proceeds of the show are going toward the purchase of a new sound system for the Petro Theatre on the MSU Billings campus.
