Although Capital University of Economics and Business, or CUEB, was founded in 1956, it took its current form in 1995 with the merger of two instutitions. CUEB boasts more than a hundred partner universities all over the world and located in central Beijing, China’s capital, it offers unique cultural, professional and personal development opportunities for MSUB students. Beijing is the capital city and cultural heart of China. It is also one of the largest cities in the world with a city metro population of about 24 million people.

Courses Offerings
CUEB offers 28 English speaking programs, including a master’s English language program. CUEB is an ideal location for students who wish to student intensive Mandarin langue alongside other language learning students. More than 700 exchange students from more than 70 countries and regions enroll annually, with alumni spread all over the world.There are many different programs to choose from, including law, business, and international education. Accommodations
There are several types of on-campus accommodation options for exchange students. International student accommodation is located at the city-center Chaoyangmen Business District (CBD) campus, which is also the location of the Mandarin language program. The CBD campus is roughly 40 minutes away (via public transit) from the CUEB main campus. Only dual-occupancy rooms are available.
Rooms are equipped with air conditioners, telephones, a safe campus network and internet access as well as Wi-Fi. There are public kitchens and coin or card washing machines, as well as a coffee area and gym. The campus cafeteria also offers a variety of dining options, and specialty Halal meals.
Costs
MSUB students studying abroad at Capital University pay MSUB tuition. Students pay for accommodation directly to CUEB, upon arrival to Beijing. Accommodation costs range from RMB 42 to RMB 51 ($6-$8) per day, according to room types and facilities. Meals can typically range from $4-$15, depending on dining choices and preferences. Public transportation is very affordable; the metro costs RMB 5 (less than $1) per ride, and the buses are cheaper.
Visa
Students will need to apply for an X visa to study in China. To receive an X student visa, students will need to submit all the required documents (e.g. Admission Letter & JW 202 Form) to the Embassy/Consulate of the People’s Republic of China in Washington D.C. Students currently do not need to appear in-person for a visa interview. Rather, all applications must be sent via an official visa support agency.
Health Insurance
To ensure comprehensive and quality coverage, all study abroad students are required to enroll in insurance that is provided through the designated Montana University System insurance provider. Please consult with the Study Abroad Coordinator for further information. This insurance is affordable with a typical semester averaging about $250.
