Volunteering and engaging in the community is an important part of being an MSUB student. International students get to experience different segments of American culture and societies by becoming involved in engagement opportunities. Students often find these experiences enlightening and very rewarding.

International students volunteering at Habitat for Humanity

Previous community engagement opportunities organized by the Office of International Studies (OIS) include teaching different cultures to local pre-schoolers, meeting with senior citizens, helping to build houses for Habitat for Humanity, giving presentations at local churches or in front of local organizations, such as Boy Scouts of America, and much more. The OIS works closely with MSUB's Center for Engagement to put together a wide array of opportunities in which students can become involved.
