Women in Automotive Introduction

Location: City College at MSUB Tech Building Room B041
Faculty: Kat Pfau, Automotive Instructor at City College at MSUB, and Amy Hunt, Automotive Technician
Course summary: In this introductory workshop, we will discuss basic operations of your vehicle, maintenance intervals, and common mistakes. We encourage all questions as this is your opportunity to learn without judgement! During the hands-on portion, we will teach tips and tricks for changing your tire.
Open to women of all ages. Those under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
Snacks will be provided.

Course summary: This free workshop will allow participants to learn about their car. The student will bring the car into the lab and will work with the instructor to become familiar with her car, including changing the air filter if she wants. The lecture will dive deeper into the engine and the components required to make the engine function properly. Open to women of all ages. Lunch will be provided.
