Course summary:  Introduction to Welding is a 32-hour non-credit course that introduces basic welding processes.  This training includes different types of joints, shop safety and practices, welding equipment and minor repair, plasma cutting and welding processes, as well as introducing the idea of welder testing and certifications.  Safe practices and operation of tools and equipment are explained and demonstrated.

Course summary:  Introduction to TIG Welding is a 20-hour non-credit course with classroom and lab training that introduces the basics of the gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW) process.  This training includes different types of joints, shop safety and practices, welding equipment, and execution of GTAW.  Safe practices and operation of tools and equipment are explained and demonstrated.
