FAFSA/Financial Aid Process
The FAFSA is just the first step in the MSUB Financial Aid Process. The email confirmation you get after you submit your FAFSA is not your award, nor a guarantee of aid. The MSUB Financial Aid Office has to review student eligibility and may be required to collect additional information or clarification from you before they can make you an award. The Department of Education selects about 30% of FAFSAs for "verification." If your FAFSA is selected, you will need to turn in additional paperwork to the Financial Aid office. Help is available!
To monitor the status of your financial aid or to accept an award, log into myInfo (Enter Secure Area) and click on the links under the Financial Aid tab. Log in regularly
while your aid is in progress so you don't miss important messages or financial aid
requirements.
