Biography
Kim Hayworth became the Vice Chancellor for Student Access and Success at Montana State University Billings in June of 2019. Previously, Kim served as the Spring Arbor University Vice President for Student Development and Success from 2006 – 2022. Prior to 2006, Kim held various roles in student development and admissions. Some of her favorite roles include teaching a freshman year experience course for 13 years, heading up a Peer Advisor program, organizing orientation for 10 years, as well as leading nine spring break service trips to NYC.
Kim is passionate about higher education and the impact it has on all graduates but especially the trajectory of first generation and underrepresented students. MSUB is a perfect fit for those passions as an institution that enrolls a high percentage of what higher education calls at-risk students. Kim finds joy in serving alongside the Student Access and Success team as they help enroll and support MSUB students as they navigate finding, fulfilling, and thriving in their chosen educational paths.
Kim received a B.A. with a major in Communications-Public Relations and Advertising, and a M.B.A. from SAU, and earned a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership from Western Michigan University. Kim currently serves on the Board of Directors for United Way of Yellowstone County as Chair-Elect and member of the Community Impact Committee.
