Dr. George White accepts position as vice president at Logan College of Chiropractic in St. Louis

MSU BILLINGS NEWS SERVICES — Dr. George White, former dean of the College of Education and interim provost and
academic vice chancellor at Montana State University Billings for the past three years,
has accepted a new job as the vice president for academic affairs at Logan College
of Chiropractic in St. Louis.
The decision was announced Tuesday by George Goodman, president of the 1,100-student college. White begins his new job effective Oct. 1.
“Dr. White was a strong advocate for student-centered learning at MSU Billings, he did an exceptional job for us and we appreciate his work,” said MSU Billings Chancellor Dr. Ronald Sexton. “We wish him all the best.”
Before serving as interim provost, White was Dean of the College of Education for five years. Before coming to MSU Billings, he spent eight years at the University of Tennessee-Martin as a professor and chair of health and human performance, associate dean and director of graduate programs, and interim dean of the College of Education and Behavioral Sciences. Prior to that, he was an associate professor at Clemson University where he established and coordinated programs in coaching education, health education and physical education.
White said he looks forward the new challenges in the Midwest.
“I’m delighted to have this exciting professional opportunity,” he said. “This would not have been possible if Chancellor Sexton and the MSU Billings family had not given me the chance to grow. My wife and I are excited about the future, but we will miss our friends at MSU Billings and the Billings community.”
Established in 1935, Logan is one of the largest chiropractic colleges in the country. Logan also offers a master’s degree in sports science and rehabilitation that is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of North Central.
