APPLY TO CITY COLLEGE OR MSUB |
General Admission Policy SECONDARY EDUCATION Graduation from an accredited high school or passing score on an approved high school equivalency exam such as the HiSET or GED. Students who complete their secondary education through home schooling may talk to their Admissions Counselor through which option best suits them. FINANCIAL AID & SCHOLARSHIPS |
To determine eligibility for financial aid, complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) online. Apply for scholarships. The new and current student scholarship application opens December 1st for the 2024-2025 academic year. (Priority given to applications received by February 1st.) |

ORIENTATION |
Students seeking a degree at MSUB are encouraged to sign up and participate in orientation. |

STUDENT SUPPORT |
Apply early for additional student support! MSUB offers various student support services and eligibility requirements may vary. Meeting with an advisor and program staff are highly encouraged. |

ACADEMIC RECORDS & ADVISING |
Submit high school transcripts and/or official transcripts from other colleges attended at least 1 week before your advising appointment or Fast Pass registration session. Students seeking a degree at MSUB are required to meet with an advisor to develop a plan of study. Go to our new student orientation page to see options for class registration. |

HOUSING |
Apply for Housing online. Application opens December 1st. (Priority given to applicants received before May 1st.) |

REGISTER AND PAY FEES |
Register for classes at a Fast Pass Registration Event and follow your plan of study. Following registration, arrange payment for tuition prior to the 3rd day of the semester to avoid being dropped. Make a payment plan online. |

BOOKS |
Order new or used books from the MSUB Campus Store. (*Students in campus programs are encouraged to work with their care teams regarding textbooks, laptops, and wifi hub lending). |

Rolling Admission
MSU Billings has rolling admission, this means prospective students may apply at any time. However, we recommend you apply as soon as possible keeping in mind scholarship and financial aid priority deadlines.
