Catering & Alcohol

MSUB Catering has exclusive rights to cater MSUB events. No unauthorized sale or complimentary distribution of food or beverages is permitted. Contact catering@msubillings.edu for more details.

It is the responsibility of the event sponsor or host organization to submit the Alcohol Approval Form and receive confirmation of approval before the event, whenever alcohol will be present. For more details, visit this link.

Insurance

Groups using MSUB spaces are required to provide a Certificate of Insurance at least 14 calendar days before the initial date of space use, including the following:

  • Limits of $1,000,000 for each occurrence and $2,000,000 aggregate.
  • Certificate Holder: Montana State University Billings; 1500 University Dr.; Billings, MT 59101

Cancellation & Other Fees

  • Cancellation: a minimum 48-hour notice must be provided to the Center for Engagement staff to cancel or update details for an event. Groups will be charged the full rate of the reservation if this deadline is not met.
  • After-hours: events outside of standard business hours may be subject to a minimum $20 per hour fee for each staff member present.
  • Additional fees may also be assessed, including, but not limited to Security, Custodial, and Damages.

Condition of Spaces

Unless given permission from Center for Engagement staff in advance, individuals and groups will not affix anything to the walls, doors, or any other surfaces. Individuals and groups will not move furniture or tamper with equipment. Any damages to the space or equipment caused by event participants will be billed to the group(s) hosting the event.

Accommodations

MSUB makes reasonable accommodations for any known disability that may interfere with a person's ability to participate in an event. Persons needing accommodation should notify the Center for Engagement no later than 10 calendar days before the event to allow adequate time to assess requests and provide accommodations. 

Indemnification

Individuals and groups using MSUB event spaces are responsible for and assume the liability for their own wrongful or negligent acts or omissions, or those of its officers, agents, or employees, and agree to defend, indemnify, and hold MSUB harmless from any such liability.
