Reading Clinic
Montana State University Billings undergraduate students will tutor your child in a one-on-one setting for 90 minutes on Monday evenings (5:15-6:45 p.m.). The students are enrolled in elementary and special education programs at MSUB. The session lasts eight weeks. Dr. Rachael Waller, professor of literacy, and her assistant, who is typically a reading specialist, oversee the lessons, as well as provide suggestions to the reading tutors on a weekly basis. On the final evening of the session, the tutor will meet with you and share the results of the tutoring experience and recommendations for the future. You will also receive a written report.
Fall 2024
Spring 2025
The cost of the program is $60, but scholarships are available. Contact Rachael Waller for more information.
If you choose to enroll in the program, you will be expected to attend each session unless there is an illness or family emergency. Attendance is critical in your child making academic progress, as well as for MSUB's students to learn the necessary skills required for the class.
The Reading Clinic is held in the College of Education building on the university campus.
