student presenting paper at conference

Phi Alpha Theta is the National History Honors’ Society, “whose mission is to promote the study of history through the encouragement of research, good teaching, publication and the exchange of learning and ideas among historians. We seek to bring students and teachers together for intellectual and social exchanges, which promote and assist historical research and publication by our members in a variety of ways.”

Phi Alpha Theta Northwest Regional Conference

Every year, MSU Billings sends a number of students to present original research at the Phi Alpha Theta Northwest Regional Conference.  Attending this conference fosters a sense of professionalism, exposes students to the world of academic scholarship and provides phenomenal networking opportunities.
