The Respiratory Care program is a Great Falls College degree. However, students can work on completing the prerequisite courses through City College at MSU Billings, then apply to the competitive program offered through Great Falls College.  If accepted into the program, students will be able to do their lecture work through engaging online classes and complete lab and clinical work in hospitals throughout the state, including the Billings area.  Please note their may be travel required to complete all labs and clinicals. 

Respiratory Care is a healthcare specialty that offers a set of unique challenges in prevention, treatment, management, and rehabilitation of people with lung problems. Respiratory Care involves a wide variety of life saving, life supporting situations, working side by side with physicians, nurses, and others on the healthcare team, and treating patients ranging in age from newborns to senior citizens:

  • Serve on the front lines as a Respiratory Therapist, supporting the critically ill by helping them breathe
  • Earn approximately $24/hr your first year
  • Experience small class sizes and get hel from instructors when you need it
