The 49-credit-hour program is delivered online and will advance nurses’ careers by preparing them for a range of practice environments, for administrative duties and for graduate education. The program adopts all major provisions of the Montana University System’s common curriculum recently established by the HealthCare Montana consortium.
You do not have to be a nurse to enroll in courses, but you must have a current and unencumbered RN license to graduate from the RN to BSN program. Students may enroll in a concurrent enrollment plan of study and take corequisites and most nursing courses while enrolled in an associate degree nursing program. However, an unencumbered RN license is required to complete Community and Leadership nursing courses, which include a clinical component.
The RN to BSN completion program operates under a rolling acceptance model. Students can start fall, spring or summer with applications being accepted anytime during the year for the next available semester. Future student just need to indicate their intended start semester and year.
