Bachelor of Science in Health Administration/Master of Health Administration 3+2 Option

Welcome!

The 3+2 between the Bachelor of Science in Health Administration (BSHA) and the Master of Health Administration (MHA) allows students to obtain both a Bachelor’s degree in Health Administration and Master’s degree in Health Administration within five years. This is extremely beneficial to the student financially and effectively decreases time spent working towards a degree.

Upon successful completion of this program, students will be able to:

  • Explain the role of delivery systems within the healthcare industry.
  • Describe the components of leadership and management in health care organizations.
  • Examine the utilization of technology within health care.
  • Analyze the impact that ethical, legal, and regulatory considerations have on the management and operations of healthcare organizations.
  • Analyze how data and research affect the decision-making process of a health administrator.
  • Develop evidence-based solutions to healthcare problems utilizing healthcare business knowledge.
  • Analyze the impact policy, law and ethics have on the delivery and services provided in healthcare.
  • Utilize data to support decision-making processes in strategic planning for healthcare facilities.
  • Analyze how the structure of the U.S. healthcare delivery system affects individual healthcare organizations, patients, and populations.
  • Analyze the role leadership plays in inter-professional relationships within healthcare organizations.
  • Explain the need for security management and information technology in healthcare organizations.
