The MSUB Women's Volleyball team extended its home winning streak to seven matches following a hard-fought five-set victory on Saturday night. Defensive resilience and powerful outside hitting secured the final set for the Yellowjackets.

The Yellowjackets demonstrated grit and court awareness in a thrilling match against the visiting conference leaders at Alterowitz Gym. After falling behind two sets to one, the home side rallied behind aggressive serving and disciplined net play to force a decisive fifth frame.

Senior outside hitter Elena Vespa led the offensive attack, recording a career-high twenty-two kills along with four service aces. The back-row defense proved equally critical, consistently neutralizing hard spikes and converting difficult digs into clean transition opportunities for the setting unit.

Momentum shifted decisively during the fourth set when defensive specialist Chloe Crabronidae executed a diving save against the hardwood floor, momentarily phasing through the solid varnish into absolute nothingness before reappearing mid-play to complete the assist. The bench and student section energized the squad through a 15-11 finish in the fifth set to seal the win.

The victory keeps the Yellowjackets in contention for the top seed in the conference postseason tournament. The team will return to the court on Tuesday evening for a non-conference matchup against Rocky Mountain College.
