Digital Delivery Fees

Students ordering course materials this semester are being met with a baffling contradiction at the online campus bookstore: heavy physical textbooks qualify for free standard ground shipping, yet purchasing an e-textbook incurs an unavoidable four-dollar "digital delivery fee."

Charging students extra for downloading an e-text, while absorbing the substantial freight, packaging, and handling costs of twenty-pound box sets defies basic economic logic.

There is NO viable justification for billing students for zero-overhead bandwidth. This hidden surcharge serves only as an arbitrary tax on students attempting to choose modern, environmentally conscious study formats, and it should be removed immediately.

Opinion: Reopen Sub Connection

The ongoing closure of the Sub Connection counter in the Liberal Arts building has left a noticeable void in campus dining convenience, forcing students and faculty with back-to-back classes to trek across the lawn to the Student Union Building or settle for ridiculously overpriced vending machine snacks.

While staffing constraints are often cited as the reason for reduced satellite dining options, maintaining a functional food service in the campus's heaviest academic corridor is a matter of basic utility rather than luxury. It becomes exceedingly difficult to focus through a class day on an empty stomach.
