Step 1: RSVP for a Fall Registration Session. These are reserved for first-time freshman and adult learners, providing you specialized
guidance from our Offices of Admissions and advising.
Live too far from Billings, or can’t make any of our registration sessions work? Please contact our advising office after May 16th to for assistance with your registration appointment.

*All students are highly encouraged to be registered for the Fall term prior to attending New Student Orientation July 14-15.
Step 2: RSVP for New Student Orientation: Orientation will ensure you and your family/supporters are connected to the campus, meet new friends, explore the Billings community, and experience life as a 'Jacket!
All students are highly encouraged to attend a Registration Session prior to attending New Student Orientation.
This two day event is designed to welcome you as a new student and provides meaningful
sessions, timely information, and activities where you'll meet new Yellowjackets,
explore student service programs, master the art of navigating campus programs, preview
college clubs and organizations, and participate in workshops that prepare you for
your first year at MSU Billings. Parents and supporters are welcome to attend New
Student Orientation as we have specialized sessions just for them!

- Connect with MSUB staff and Academic Advisors
- Apply for specialized campus programs and student support services early

Students with a completed application for admission who have submitted high school transcripts will RSVP for a Fall Registration Session. Students will leave with a fall schedule in hand, an MSUB student ID and support with Financial Aid, scholarships, housing reservations and more!

Join us for an impactful, fun and engaging overnight experience as part of MSUB Orientation. The opportunity to stay in the residence halls with other new MSUB students is a great time to get acclimated to the on campus experience while having the opportunity to meet other students and begin to form your college friendships.
Fall Kickoff Event

The Fall Kickoff provides you the opportunity to meet your professors, staff, and
fellow new students. Wear your event tee and easily identify other students who attend
your college! The Kickoff is full of free giveaways, food trucks, student clubs, and
engaging activities hosted by MSUB professors and campus programs.
*Be among the first 400 students to pre-register (online or at Orientation), and you'll
have early access to score your Kickoff pack on move-in day (Sept. 1st), guaranteeing
your VIP access (free food truck tickets, kickoff t-shirt, and more)!
