Qualtrics

Qualtrics  is a web-based tool used to create surveys. It provides the necessary survey tools to create, distribute, and report on your results. The process of constructing surveys is easy. Qualtrics is provided at no cost for faculty, staff, and students of MSU Billings.

Qualtrics Components:

  • Projects Page
    • Each time you log into Qualtrics, you’ll see the Projects page. The Projects page is a one-stop shop with a list of all the projects you’ve created and all the projects shared with you. Along with each project, you’ll notice some at-a-glance details and metrics, as well as a dropdown to the right containing project actions.
  • Survey Tab
    • The Survey tab is where you build and edit the survey piece of your project. From here, you’ll create questions, add logic and validation, design the look, and more.
  • Distributions Tab
    • Once you have built your survey, you can use the Distributions tab to gather responses. Qualtrics provides a variety of channels for you to distribute your survey, from emailing to QR codes to posting via social media sites.
  • Data & Analysis Tab
    • The Data & Analysis tab allows you to manage, add information to, and analyze individual participant responses. The tab is organized into three sections: Data, Text, and Cross Tabs.
  • Reports Tab
    • When you navigate to the Reports tab, there are two sections: Results and Reports.
      • In the Results section of the Reports tab, you can view answer summaries and create custom pages to visualize and manage aggregate results.
      • In the Reports section, you can build dynamic, paginated reports that visualize your data.
  • Contacts Page
    • A contact list is a mailing list that has been entered or uploaded into Qualtrics. These contact lists are sometimes referred to as panels, and can be created by you or purchased from a panel provider. You can use contact lists to easily distribute surveys to the members of the contact list, to apply authentication requirements to surveys, and to store information about contacts that can be used in surveys or analyzed later with the data.
  • Library Page
    • You can store surveys, graphics, messages, and other file types within your Qualtrics libraries.
