Maura Wright & YehRim Lee statement on their work is as follows- “Overabundance showcases the dynamic, expressive potential of ceramics as a material. Their work blends cultural influences and pushes the limits of shape and color.
Maura Wright, based in Helena, MT, is originally from Columbia, MO. She received a Master of Fine Arts from the New York State College of Ceramics at Alfred University in 2018 and a BFA from the Kansas City Art Institute in 2013. She is currently the Gallery Program Manager at the Archie Bray Foundation in Helena, MT
YehRim Lee was born in Seoul, Korea. She earned her B.F.A in ceramics from Korea National University of Cultural Heritage (2013). In 2014, she continued her studies at the California State University Long Beach as Post-Baccalaureate in Ceramic Arts (2014-2015). She received her MFA in Ceramic Art at Alfred University (2017). She is currently a long-term resident at the Archie Bray Foundation in Helena, Montana
